At Julia Nance Portraits, we celebrate uniqueness and believe everyone should have beautiful images of themselves. It can be daunting to have a photoshoot, but with your favourite people around it’s nothing but fun!
Our friendship photoshoots are about celebrating your individuality and quirks, the laughter and silliness you have together, and the bond between you.
Spending the day with your friends after a busy week should be stress-free, and that’s what our experience is about. We work with you to plan everything from the outfits you wear to the music we play in the studio!

For those wanting to take images outside, I suggest an afternoon session. For studio images, the time of day and weather isn’t a worry!
Once you’re booked in, we’ll arrange a time for your complimentary zoom consultation.
Your Style & Concept Consultation.
Every experience starts with a zoom or in-studio consultation.
We’ll go through everything with you and your bestie. From coordinating outfits, colours, and styles of images. We will discuss all of the shots you’d love to capture and start brainstorming ideas.
Your Session!
It’s time to visit our studio in Ringwood East, Victoria – in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs. In this time we’ll get to photograph you both together and individually in lots of different outfits and explore our various backdrops/settings.
Some light refreshments (food and drink) will be on offer, so we will make sure to get your dietary requirements in advance.
View & Order Your Images
Choose from an online gallery or in-person viewing experience.
An in-person viewing gives you the opportunity to all come back to our studio and view your images for the first time on our cinematic projector. We’ll be able to help with your selection and give our advice on the images we think are the strongest, plus design any beautifully printed artwork you may like.
Delivery of your images!
Once your images have gone through our retouching and production process, we’ll deliver digital images via download and will arrange to have prints and artwork delivered straight to your door.
Your Friendship Photoshoot Includes
- A zoom consult to discuss wardrobe, hair, makeup, and image styling.
- A 1.5 hour fun photoshoot at our Ringwood East Studio.
- Access to lots of studio backdrops PLUS outdoor settings.
- Light refreshments (food and drink) are provided at your photoshoot.
- In-person or online viewing to select your images.
PRICING & PACKAGES
We’ve got three packages to choose from for your friendship session. These packages include digital images, lightly retouched with a natural feel. Each person can select their own images, which you are welcome to share together.
PACKAGES (priced per-person):
2 unique images each: $250pp
5 unique images each: $550pp
10 unique images each: $900pp
*Unique images mean each person selects their own final inclusions. You can each select different images and share amongst yourselves as a group/pair.

At Julia Nance Portraits we’re big believers in doing more with your images than having digital files. If you love this idea too, then we can help you put your photographs on display.
We have image and artwork options to suit all budgets, which ranges from beautiful desk prints to stunning wall art.
